Bankura to Keonjhar by bike & car on July,2026 @Nirmalya on wheels

@nirmalyaonwheels5525 16.07.2026 at 7 a.m. Four bikes and a car left from Satighat in Bankura. Seven of us left for Keonjhar in Odisha .... Bankura Trail Blazers – A success story from the first step I have ridden bikes and driven cars many times in my life. I have traveled on countless hilly roads including offbeat Mulkharka with a car, and Kolakham, Sitong on a bike. Each journey has its own thrill. But it is difficult to express in words how deep the joy of successfully completing its first official trip by creating a travel group with my own hands is. The name of that dream is Bankura Trail Blazers. As the Admin of the group, I can never take the credit for this success alone. Behind making this journey a success were four skilled riders—Nirmalya Da, Sandipada, Bhajan Bhai and Suman Bhai. Also, the cooperation of Tapas Babu and Tapan Babu as my co-passengers in the car was impeccable. Our first four-day trip to Odisha was memorable due to everyone's combined efforts. July 16, 8 am. Our journey started from Bankura. Route—Jhargram, Lodhashuli, Bangriposhi, Bisoi to Keonjhar. After a long journey of about 12 hours, we reached Keonjhar by 8 pm. After checking in at Hotel Ankita, we left without taking any rest because that day was the Rath Yatra. Fortunately, we visited the famous giant Rath of Keonjhar—which is known as one of the tallest chariots in the world. Along with that, we went to the Baldevji temple and took prasad. The first day of the trip seemed to have started auspiciously. July 17 – In search of clouds, mountains and the source of Baitarani Our destination the next day was Gonasika. The experience of moving forward through the winding mountain roads and the cloud-covered environment was extraordinary. Gonasikai is the origin of the holy Baitarani River. Witnessing the moment of the river's birth while standing in the lap of nature is truly a unique feeling. From there, we go to Khandadhar Falls. The water is coming down from a high mountain in the shape of a horse's tail—the scene is as if painted by an artist's brush. On the way back, we spend some time at Sana Ghagra Falls and Park. Nature has revealed its beauty here. In the evening, back to the hotel, stories, chats, laughter and fun begin—which are the priceless assets of every trip. July 18 – At the meeting point of history, mythology and nature The third day begins with Bhimkunda. The flow of Baitarani River cutting through the rocks, and that powerful roar—the Rudra form of nature came alive before our eyes. Then our destination is Sitabinji. Standing amidst the huge boulders, it felt as if we had entered the realm of an ancient civilization. Here, the stories of Ravana, Lob-Kush, and various legends of Ramayana are still told by the local people. It is truly a wonder how such huge stones were created. July 19 – Farewell Morning Last day. In the morning, after checking out of the hotel, we first saw the Bara Ghagra waterfall and a beautiful dam located high in the mountains. Then the journey back home began. The return route was completely different—via Galudi, Duarsini, Bandowan, and Manbazar. After crossing the mountains, jungles, and village paths, we slowly, completely safely, returned to Bankura at around 8 pm. Throughout the journey, as a group admin, I had a strong sense of responsibility. Everyone's safety, punctuality, and managing every moment of the trip smoothly were always on my mind. But my fellow travelers made that task easier for me. So I am sincerely grateful to them. The most remarkable thing about this trip was the diversity of our ages. From Suman, 26, to Bhajan, who is around 40, myself in our 40s-50s, Tapasbabu and Tapanbabu, Sandipbabu, who was riding for the first time, in his 50s-60s, and the recently retired, experienced rider Nirmalyada—all were part of this trip. Despite the age difference, there was never any disagreement between us. Rather, we proved that the language of travel is one—friendship. Just two days before the trip, two more of our members could not join the trip due to census duties and training. Still, we did not lose hope. Especially Nirmalyada’s positive mindset inspired us to move forward. In the very first trip, Bankura Trail Blazers proved—no matter how adverse the situation, they do not know how to back down. For us, this was not just a trip; It was a unique chapter of trust, friendship, responsibility and journey together. Today we have not only ended a trip, but have begun a new history. Bankura Trail Blazers—From Bankura to Beyond. May our journey continue like this. With new destinations, new stories and new dreams as companions. "The road never ends, only the destination changes..." ✍️ Angshuman Singhamohapatra
