A walk about Trillick and Magheralough Graveyard

Trillick is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It had a population of 2,439 people in the 2011 census. Trillick is in the civil parish of Kilskeery and the barony of Omagh East. It is located within both the Roman Catholic Diocese of Clogher and Church of Ireland Diocese of Clogher. Trillick (from Irish Trileac, meaning 'three flagstones' Magheralough Graveyard, Trillick, County Tyrone the cemetery was formerly known as Charleton's Hill as it was owned by a Bob Charleton, who sold the site to Father McGinnity P.P. in 1901 who planned to establish a graveyard there. The first buried was said to be John Goodfellow in 1906. The graveyard is associated with St. Macartan's Church, Magheralough; although it is not clear from this article whether there was ever a church on the same site as the graveyard.
