Дешевый виски из Duty Free - Jura The Sound. Обзор соседа легендарного шотландского острова Айла
Choosing a whisky at Duty Free on vacation is always an interesting experience, but time is tight. So tourists often grab the first bottle they see, only to be disappointed or think that any whisky is rubbish, and if it's not rubbish, you'll have to fork out over a hundred euros. However, Duty Free offers reasonably priced whiskies of sufficient quality for a vacation tasting. Or, frankly, for a simple drink. One such whisky is Jura The Sound, a single malt Scottish island whisky. The Isle of Jura (also known as Jura) is located near the legendary Islay, but the whisky produced there is quite different. The island has a population of 200 and only one distillery, but it produces a wide variety of single malt whiskies. One of them is the subject of this review, from Potapych's Cellar. Jura The Sound is a whisky named after the sound of the enormous Corryvreckan whirlpool (the same one that gives Ardbeg Corryvreckan its name). The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks and then transferred to casks previously used for sweet Spanish Pedro Ximenez sherry. People love whisky matured in the Corryvreckan region, and rightfully so. In Duty Free stores, Jura The Sound costs just €43 per liter. Converted to 0.7%, that's about €30. How many single malts are worth that much? I think this whisky is perfect for drinking at a resort or while traveling, and you won't regret your choice or your money.
