Island Peak (Imja Tse) 6189M - Adventure Consultants Expedition April-May 2024

There is no audio in the first 39 seconds. Watch in 2160p In August 2023, I signed on as a client with Adventure Consultants (AC) to go on an expedition in an attempt to summit Island Peak. I prepared for nine months. I arrived in Kathmandu in late-April 2024 and was welcomed by AC with open arms. This video is a collage of videos and pictures from my 24-day expedition. The climb itself is captured about halfway into the video. Everything else is the trek into Island Peak Basecamp, and the many sights and stops between Lukla and basecamp. Two things about Adventure Consultants: 1.) If you put in the preparation, and you don't quit or get ill - they will safely get you to the top and back down. Weather (etc.) plays a role, but if the conditions are right and you're ready - they're ready. 2.) You get what you pay for. This was top shelf across the board. I would advise you to spend your money wisely and go with AC for your high-altitude adventure travel needs. Leave a comment below if you have any questions and I will gladly answer them soonest. Tim was my climbing partner and the only other client on the expedition. It was a ‘small and bespoke private’ expedition and it was wonderful getting to know him over the three-week period. I included lots of pictures and clips of him so that he can cherish this video for years to come like I will.
