1 John 2:19-20 Those people left our churches, but they were never really part of us; if they had been, they would have stayed with us. By leaving, they showed that they were not part of us. 20 But you are not like that, because the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and you all know the truth. Intro. God will reveal the truth even if we try to hide it. God will be faithful to me even if many are not faithful to me. 1. GOD USES TIME TO REVEAL THE TRUTH VERSE: Those people left our churches, but they were never really part of us. The church doesn't fail you; your heart does. Time will show that it's not about being present, but about being. Faithfulness is presence, but absence reveals disloyalty. 2. GOD USES THE DEPARTURE OF SOME VERSE: "...if they had been, they would have stayed with us." Some people leave, and it's not a loss, but God's protection. The anointing causes some to leave. Faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit, not a human talent. 3. GOD USES PROCESSES Verse: But you are not like that, because the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and you all know the truth. A person filled with God never abandons what God loves. Trials don't change anyone; they only remove their disguise. Conclusion: Don't fear those who leave your life; fear that you will be the one who doesn't remain. Remember: Many will leave, but God will stay!
