AMAZING Famous Schindler Miconic 10 Traction Elevators | JW Marriott | Washington, DC

(6/20/25) Happy fourth of July! This is the start to the first half of my DC posts! Here are some elevators I’ve always wanted to see in person. My dream finally came true! These are the famous and overfilmed Schindler Miconic 10 elevators at the JW Marriott Washington, DC! These are also my first Miconic 10s which is one of my favorite DDs of all time! These are still running great to this day and seem to be getting new rollers from what I saw. These were originally Schindler Haughtons from 1984 then got modernized in the early 2000s with Schindler DD. The COPs aren’t in the best shape considering the buttons are a bit beat up and the PIs are glitched, but everything else seems to be in good shape. These got their cabs replaced and the lobby elevator atrium was renovated in 2015. Overall, I’m glad i finally got to see these before they ever get modded!
