Carried by the Tide

This is an Ascension reflection song I wrote called Carried by the Tide. As I sat with the story of Ascension—the disciples learning to let go while still holding onto the promise of the Spirit—I kept returning to the image of the tide. Jesus was no longer with them in the same visible way as before. Yet somehow, they were still being carried. Not abandoned. Not forgotten. Still held within the movement of God.
