Why Everyone lives in ONE BUILDING in this American Town? Desi Tourist

Some road trips take you exactly where you planned. Others? Lead you to places you NEVER expected. On Day 15, I took an unplanned detour south from Fairbanks and ended up in Whittier, Alaska—one of the most remote, mysterious, and fascinating towns in the world! Here’s what makes Whittier INSANE: 🏢 EVERYONE in town (about 200+ people) lives in ONE SINGLE BUILDING! 🛡️ This building—Begich Towers—was originally built as a military barracks during WWII. 🚆 The only way in or out? A single-lane tunnel through the mountains! I was absolutely blown away by this place. The mix of history, isolation, and stunning natural beauty makes Whittier one of Alaska’s best-kept secrets.
