A serious rockfall occurred this afternoon (27th) on the Butterfly Valley Waterfall Trail in Guguan District, Taichung. A hiking group of 16 people was caught in the rockfall. Three people were hit by boulders and lost vital signs at the scene, one person was injured, and another person is suspected of being buried by soil and rocks and is missing. Firefighters have arrived at the scene and confirmed that the four people are obviously dead.
