Annette Hanshaw - Let's Fall in Love (1934)

From Annette's final recording session (except for a few private recordings which were not issued). Released as the B-side of "This Little Piggie Went to Market" (Vocalion 2635). The song comes from the 1933 movie of the same name where it was introduced by Ann Sothern. Recorded February 3, 1934. It was a #1 hit for Eddy Duchin, #8 for Fred Rich & His Orchestra and #19 for Harold Arlen (the co-songwriter), all in 1934. The song became a standard and has been recorded by many. One charting remake was by Peaches & Herb which made it to #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and #11 R&B) in 1967. Written by Harold Arlen & Ted Koehler.
