Betws-y-Coed to Maentwrog North Wales, lovely drive on a rainy day

The drive from Betws-y-Coed to Maentwrog is one of the most beautiful short journeys in North Wales, taking you through the heart of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). Starting in Betws-y-Coed, often called the “gateway to Snowdonia,” you leave behind a charming alpine-style village surrounded by dense forest, stone bridges, and rushing rivers.
