SPIRITUAL SPIDER WEBS: MYTHS, REALITY, AND VICTORY IN CHRIST Psalm 124:7 “Our soul has escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowler; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.” “Have you ever felt stuck without understanding why?” The Bible doesn’t explicitly speak of “spiritual spider webs,” but it describes equivalent realities using terms such as: traps, snares, nets, fetters, and works of darkness. “They spread a net for my feet; my soul is overcome.” Psalm 57:7 In common parlance, cobwebs represent a state of invisible oppression manifested by: • Mental confusion, frustrations • Spiritual heaviness, • Repeated delays, inexplicable blockages, • Barrenness, dryness, suffering The enemy's goal is to prevent us from having a life of happiness in God, a prosperous life. Therefore, he must manipulate us, leading us toward poor choices that will result in real setbacks and regrets. Deliverance does not come from formulas, but from: 1. the authority of Christ, Christ has already conquered 2. the truth of the Word, Truth precedes deliverance 3. faith in the promises. Freedom is nurtured 👉 Your deliverance does not come from a prophet; it comes from your relationship with Christ. John 8:36 “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8 “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 WHAT TO DO? A. Enter into a covenant with God to be born again. (Repentance and conversion). You must give your life to Jesus Christ by renouncing Satan and all covenants with him. B. Lead a sanctified life by fleeing from sin. C. Pray and surrender yourself completely into God’s hands without resorting to other means of protection. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ, relying on His promises. D. Have a pure and loving heart that never holds a grudge. Victory is not about seeing nets, but about walking freely in the light of Christ.
