In regards to Sant Ji's life, most of the information below was obtained from the book, 'Punjab De Parsidh Raagi Rababi' written by Sardar Balbir Singh Kanwal. Sant Sujan Singh Ji was born into the home of Bhai Gian Singh and Mata Bharava Bai on 25th of October 1911 in the village of Bagh in the Jhang Maghiana district of Pakistan. Sant Ji took his initial training in music from Pandit Narotam Das Ji of Multan. Pandit Narotam Das Ji moved to Bombay following the partition in 1947 and he lived there until he passed away at the age of 106. It is said that Sant Sujan Singh Ji only spent around 6 months under the guidance of Pandit Narotam Das Ji and that he was naturallv blessed with musical talent by Waheguru Ji.
