Correctional Services Department details Mangaung Prison take over plan
The Department of Correctional Services says it's carefully monitoring the June 2026 transfer of the Mangaung Correctional Centre to ensure all its bases are covered. The Department presented its plan to the Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services today, briefing MPs on the state of readiness of the takeover of the Facility. The Mangaung Correctional Centre is one of two facilities which are run through Public Private Partnerships by the Department of Correctional Services. The other is the Kutama-Sinthumele Correctional Centre in Limpopo. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
