"Shuttle" Powered Slope Wing - Introduction & Maiden Flights (x2) - Awesome Flyer !!

This is another custom build of mine which I have called the "Shuttle" as I reckon it looks a bit like the Space Shuttle !! Haha... But in any case I love the look and today was the maiden flight for this little beast. It came in with a total flying weight of 385gms at 900mm wingspan.. so should be a very good gliding wing as well. I have built this wing for my mate (Colin) as we both came up with the idea to build a light powered slope wing. So I built the fuselage from balsa, used a set of spare wings I had from another project wing, Colin supplied the electronics, Motor, Esc, Prop, Battery, Receiver, and I did the rest as far as the build and setup goes... And so here we are today for the scariest part of the project, being the maiden flights !! I had a pretty good idea of the CG setup, but as with all maiden flights you never really know how it's going to go, as far as throws, balance, speed but that's all part of the fun... So please watch the whole video, you will see flight #1 launch and a few lower passes, then flight #2 you will see how much better it flies after a few small tweaks with throws, CG adjustment... overall it flies perfect, very stable for a 385gm wing - Very Happy :-)
