An overview of STEVE DITKO's comics career (Part 1): The 1950s
This video was originally begun with the intention of showing the comics career of comic book creator Steve Ditko from 1953 to 2018, all in one long video. Unfortunately, it later became clear that this would make the videos way too lengthy for most viewers to watch, so I have divided them into smaller parts. This first part is about Ditko's work in the 1950s, mainly for Charlton and Marvel, and where you can buy these comics today in reprinted form. Subsequent parts in this series of videos will discuss the other decades. Part Two will be about his 1960s Marvel work, Part Three will be about his work for other publishers from 1966 to 1969, and Part Four will be about his 1970s Charlton ghost comics. (These parts have already been made, and will be uploaded soon.) From there, we will have to see how many parts it takes to get from the early 1970s to 2018 (the year that he passed away). Some of these segments have also already been filmed, while others have not. In the meantime, I hope that you enjoy watching this video. Feel free to leave a comment saying what you think about it.
