Suitable for everyday meals and a balanced lifestyle. -------------------------------------------------- đ¤ 469 Mixed Vegetable Tahiri⌠with Raita and Mirchi Achaar ! đ 469âŚMixed Vegetable Tahiri⌠with Raita and Mirchi Achaar ! INGREDIENTS AND METHODâŚ. TAHIRI RECIPE Ingredients⌠1½ cups basmati rice, soaked cooked and drained 5-6 small potatoes, peeled and halved 12-16 cauliflower florets ½ cup green peas 6to 8 beans cut into big pieces 1 carrot peeled and cut into long strips 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds jeera 10-12 cloves 10-12 black peppercorns 2-3 black cardamoms 1 inch cinnamon 1 tsp sauf Ginger chilli paste 3 green chillies 1 bay leaf sliced ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1½ teaspoons red chilli powder 1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder Salt to taste Fresh coriander sprig for garnishing Method⌠Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour. Add cloves, peppercorns, cardamoms, cinnamon, bay leaf, sauf mix and sautĂŠ. Add potatoes and cauliflower florets, carrot, beans, peas and mix well. Add 3 whole green chillies. Ginger chilli paste. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt and mix. Add sufficient water, mix, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Add rice and mix. Sprinkle little lemon juice. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot. With Coriander and Mint Raita⌠Chop a bunch of coriander leaves and mint leaves. Take 1 tbs mustard seeds and 2 kashmiri red chillies and coarsely grind. Beat 1 cup curd and add the chopped coriander and mint and the ground masala. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Chill. Serve with Tahiri. Hari Mirchi ka Khatta Meetha AchaarâŚ. Take 12 long light green chillies not very spicy. Chop into big pieces. In a pan add 1 tbs oil, 1/2 tsp Methi seeds, 1/2 tsp sauf, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp mustard dal, 1/2 tsp kalonji, 1 tbs ginger chilli paste, sautĂŠ, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1 tsp hing, now add the chopped green chillies, salt to taste, 30 to 45 gms jaggery, 1/4th cup vinegar . Stir till jaggery dissolves.
