EP40 Kolkata to Bhubaneswar Road Trip | 470 KM Drive + EPIC Odia Fish Thali! |

In this episode of our 40 Days Across India journey, we travel from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar on an exciting 470 km road trip that takes us around 9 hours to complete. We begin our journey after a fulfilling breakfast at The Westin Kolkata and hit the highway without any early stops. As we exit Kolkata, we cross the mighty Hooghly and Roopnarayan rivers, setting the tone for a scenic drive ahead. Our route takes us through: Kolkata → Kharagpur → Belda → Jaleswar → Balasore → Bhadrak → Cuttack → Bhubaneswar We cross the West Bengal–Odisha border near Jaleswar, officially entering a new state on our journey. Along the way, we stop at a COCO BPCL fuel station to refuel and even try our luck with some lottery tickets! One of the highlights of this drive is our incredible food stop, where we indulge in authentic Odia fish thalis — including: 🐟 Rui Fish Thali 🐟 Hilsa Fish Thali 🐟 Katla Fish Thali 🍤 Fresh Prawns The food was absolutely delicious and one of the best meals of our trip! We also make a quick stop to pick up some fresh litchis from a local vendor, adding a sweet touch to our journey.
