Proverbs 19:20 (NLT) 'Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.' Any and all plans succeed through good counsel. We have all uttered before and likely have the belief that God puts people into our lives for a reason. We NEVER know where the message will come from. I was talking with my wife last night … because I made the assumption that God had put someone in our lives for a different reason than I think had happened. She (my wife) comments… “But Mike, what if God put us in their lives to counsel and love and help them through this tough time?” How do you argue with that… you don’t she’s right. You don’t make an assumption on why God intertwines us all. It’s like I mentioned yesterday with the bricks - as the foundation, as the unique piece that you are… you may not fit where you WANT to “fit” but it is where you belong. So while this verse reminds us to GET all the advice we can… sometimes we are the giver of advice for someone else. Take that to heart - and make sure it is good, and loving, and solid advice!
