2024 BMW 900XR - Why

The new 900GS/GSA & 800GS got this same motor this year but the motor that they got is very different from the motor that's been in the 900XR/R for the last 4 years. So the question is did BMW put that motor in this 900XR also and just not tell us? Plus this motor, this year, must pass Euro5+ emissions. So the question is: did the 900XR motor get all the same changes/updates that the new GS got?
