Etsuko Enami Exhibition: "The Third House, Around the Backstreets: Tokyo" Dates: Monday, January 6, 2025 - Sunday, February 2, 2025 [Exhibition Contents] Etsuko Enami's works, created in the late 1980s, feature landscapes and people, primarily from the Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi areas. These photographs capture the friendly townspeople alongside scenes brimming with downtown charm, including the Hotaru-zaka Apartments and Akebono House buildings, children playing in back alleys, and cats strolling along shrine paths. The Showa era, when towns and people were harmonious and closely connected, offers an opportunity to reconsider the state of local communities and the value of regional culture in modern times.
