Appellate judge David Maraga says he would clear the backlog of cases and dismantle graft cartels if appointed to succeed retired chief Justice Willy Mutunga. Appearing before the JSC vetting panel, Maraga also said the Supreme Court should only handle presidential election petitions to speed up conclusion of the cases.
