Pêche du bord, en mer : les poissons sont là !

On a mild spring morning, we took advantage of the recently opened sea bass fishing season to fish from the shore. We were fishing in the Rance estuary, but it's actually a marine environment, influenced by the tides, which are very strong in this region. We were using natural bait, in this case, lugworms. Our target fish were sea bass, grey sea bream, gilthead sea bream, wrasse, red gurnard, and many other species that inhabit these rich waters. A silverside even came to visit us near the shore. Very quickly, the bites started! The fish arrived with the incoming tide, and the catches came one after another: the sea bass were there! I took the opportunity to explain the fishing strategy, which is adapted to the environment and the behavior of the fish. The rig was also demonstrated. More fish attacked our bait, and it was a superb morning.
