An irrepressible force, an inner voice, an inexplicable certainty... The manifestations of premonition are many. And we have all experienced them at one time or another. Our lives are punctuated by these almost magical moments when we have an unusual feeling that disrupts our daily routine. According to the dictionary, premonition is the intuitive and vague knowledge of an event that cannot be known through reasoning. This suggests that we possess a system of thought that relies on processes other than rational intelligence. But what are these processes, can we trust them, or are they simply due to chance?
