Hammersmith to Barons Court: An unexpected D-Day story
Hammersmith is the west London suburb which keeps on giving. In this walk we find out that the whole of Operation Overlord was planned in a school along the Hammersmith Road, we see a very mysterious 1950s movie, and look at some amazingly-designed houses, very out of place along the Talgarth Road. A post-edit note that the main section of St Paul's School was located in St Paul's Gardens and is now demolished. My camera focused on the still-existing Lodge.
