Soka University coach Enoki Kazuki appears in our "In-Depth Analysis" series, which features video interviews with athletes competing in university ekiden races such as the Hakone Ekiden. During the track season, Soka University athletes made their presence felt by placing in the top positions at the Student Individual Championships in April, the Kanto Intercollegiate Championships in May, and the Japan Intercollegiate Championships in June. Koike Riki in particular has grown into a star athlete, advancing to the finals of the 5000m at the Japan Championships. We take a deep dive into the current state of the team, which is likely to be competing for the top spots in ekiden races again this year.
