Originally named White House and then Littlebury, Thompson’s Station is a tranquil town who’s soft landscape, and rolling hills offer an inviting atmosphere that is worlds apart from hectic urban lifestyles, yet near to all the world-renowned attractions of Franklin and Nashville. The town is steeped in history, from its earliest settlers in 1780 to being home to the Civil War’s stirring Battle of Thompson’s Station, and was a stop along the Great Train Trail. Today Thompson’s Station is a growing town in Williamson County, Tennessee. Located approximately 25 miles south of Nashville, amid the rolling hills and pastoral countryside of Middle Tennessee, the inviting town of Thompson’s Station is a great place to live. Several locations in Thompson's Station are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places including the Jacob Critz House and the Thomas L. Critz House, Thompson's Station Bank, John Neely House, James P. Johnson House, Homestead Manor and James Giddens House.
