The Wieliczka Salt Mine boasts nearly 250 km of winding, mysterious corridors, beautiful chambers, incredible underground lakes, and enormous centuries-old carpentry structures. During our visit, we explored the Tourist Route. We traversed nearly 3 km of corridors, climbed 800 steps, and descended 135 meters underground. You can watch a video of our extraordinary family trip. The Tourist Route tour begins at the Daniłowicz Shaft. This is where you collect your tickets, purchased online or directly at the entrance. In my opinion, it's definitely worth purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid waiting in lines. It's also worth knowing that children under 4 years old can visit for free, and families can purchase discounted tickets.
