Graziella was only 18 years old when she first became a prostitute. It wasn't a voluntary decision. Graziella fell victim to the so-called "loverboy" method. A pimp pretends to be deeply in love with young women. Shortly afterward, he claims to be in financial trouble. The solution: if the woman sleeps with his debtor, his debts will be forgiven. They do it out of love and don't realize they are being emotionally manipulated into prostitution. By the time the young women see through the charade, it's often too late. Violence and threats follow if the women try to leave. Graziella experienced exactly this. She numbed her feelings with pills and alcohol and attempted suicide several times.
