As part of my kitchen renovation in the abandoned building, I wanted something to fit with the concrete countertop in my DIY kitchen island, so I built this diagonal side grain butcher block countertop from hard maple. This is a relatively easy woodworking project. I milled up the maple lumber then glued it up using my Rockler woodworking clamps. Then it was a matter of routing a groove in the countertop, so it fit into the concrete portion. I love how the warmth of the wood ties the whole kitchen renovation together. //MICHAEL ALM:    / michaelalm   // SUPPORT ME on PATREON   / modustrialmaker   // MODUSTRIAL MERCH Shirts and more in the Modustrial Store: https://bit.ly/3wLkxMb // FOLLOW ME Instagram: @modustrialmaker - https://goo.gl/F4UdEs Blog: https://www.modustrialmaker.com // ROCKLER HARDWARE & PRODUCTS Bar Clamps: https://bit.ly/3sdAThm Quick Lever Aluminum Clamps: https://bit.ly/3t3EpKH Mobile Dust Collector: https://bit.ly/38iS2vn Omni-stop for T-Track (on CNC): https://bit.ly/3inFw3f T-track clamp: http://bit.ly/2oOjcH5 Rockler Glue Kit: http://bit.ly/2wlqh5F // TOTAL BOAT WOOD HONEY: https://bit.ly/3v9kX1G
