Date: May 2026 Weather: (73F/23C) Location: SE Hawthorne Blvd (SE 52nd Ave to Hawthorne Bridge), Portland, Oregon We drove the heart of Portland's Hawthorne District, from SE 52nd Ave all the way to the Hawthorne Bridge, passing through one of Southeast Portland's busiest commercial stretches, especially on a weekend (this video was shot on a Saturday and wasn't as busy as it can a lot of times be). The official turn onto Hawthorne Blvd begins at the 0:43 mark, and the eastern edge of the Hawthorne District is reached at 1:23. Along the way, we pass several favorites spots of many, including arcades, grocers, theaters, bars, comic shops, and food carts, before crossing the Hawthorne Bridge at the 11:00 mark. No cuts.
