Hope City Alaska Established in 1896
Hope is located on the south shore of Turn Again Arm. This quaint little town is just a 17 mile detour off Seward Highway. It was one of the first gold rush towns in Alaska. We enjoyed touring the historical townsite as well as the museum. Join us as we walk through the historic district of Hope, and learn a bit about its past mining history, see the tidal meadow that was once part of the town before the earthquake of 1964, and see some of the old homes/businesses that are still in use today.
