First Hour Inside Adult Prison | Documentary Short

From our Archive - We get asked a lot of questions about the various stages of the juvenile justice system. There's probably no better way to get a true look at the realities inside than by showing clips of where things all begin. In this compilation video, we bring viewers scenes from teens who are at the very start of life in the juvenile system, the prison Intake process, to what it can look like when teens are suddenly transferred from one prison to next with only a few minutes notice. Whether it's a first day inside or a last day at a particular prison, the stress and anxiety of life in lockup is never an easy ride. UPDATE: the young man who was transferring from the juvenile prison cellblock to an adult prison was ultimately released in 2015.
