You’re Judging Another Woman

I’ll marry once and marry right.” Typed deliberately under a post about a woman losing her home, in a comment section where she would see it. That is not faith, that is performance and the audience isn’t God, It’s the woman bleeding in front of you. What that comment actually says underneath the prayer is this, i am better than you, my choices are better, my discernment is better, my marriage will be better, your loss is the consequence of your failure and I want you to know I would never. It is superiority dressed in prayer She didn’t lose her home because she prayed wrong, not because she chose wrong, actually , marriage ,financially, legally emotionally can cost a woman everything even when she did everything right. And instead of accepting that uncomfortable truth and reality , it’s easier to type a prayer that’s really just a judgment. Here’s what I want to say to every woman who has typed that comment or something like it, your marriage hasn’t been tested yet, your faith hasn’t been tested yet. And if that day comes and I genuinely pray, you will not want the woman you stepped on to type something like that in your comment section. Pray your prayer in private where it belongs. Because the moment you typed it under her pain it stopped being about God and started being about her. And she deserved better than that from you. 🤍 Oyin Have you ever seen this comment under a woman’s pain or received it yourself? Tell me what it felt like.
