I'm Kainosuke, and I only make videos about castles. Osaka Castle is one of Japan's most famous castles. Its gorgeous castle tower, a symbol of the city, is incredibly impressive. It's a popular tourist destination. (In this video, I'll refer to it as "Osaka"). The most eye-catching feature is its magnificent stone walls. Each individually crafted stone is neatly stacked, making them perhaps the highest quality stone walls in any Japanese castle. The large size and the wide moat make them almost intimidating. Large stones are used near important gates, making them a fun place to explore. Osaka Castle's stone walls are the tallest in Japan, so it's only natural to find yourself drawn to them as you walk. By the way, I have a simple question: Tall stone walls offer excellent defensive capabilities and are awe-inspiring to behold. However, they require advanced technology, a great deal of money, and effort. I wonder if lowering the stone walls or dividing them into several layers would have saved money, effort, and future maintenance. But what do you think? In fact, there is a reason why the stone walls of Osaka Castle as we see them today had to be piled up to this height, and it has a lot to do with the history of the castle.
