This offers the benefits of fresh, nutritionally dense produce, which a fraction of the effort and maintenance to grow. Low density pots have less growing spots (4); but more space for each plant. Therefore, they are used for growing plants up to full maturity. High density pots have more growing spots (8); but have less space for each plant, and therefore are used for plants that are harvested earlier or more frequently. In my Tower Farm I use the low density pots to grow a variety of lettuces to full maturity, and high density towers for growing herbs, spices, and other cut-and-come-again varieties.
