We are building a wooden cantilever deck that is free standing and does not attach to the mobile home. The final dimensions of the deck will be 7 feet wide by 7 feet long. This kind of deck is also called post and beam. Today's video covers the deck footer digging, deck foundation cement pouring, setting deck posts, building a deck beam, and framing the deck joists for the floor with double rim joists. It also includes the various Simpson Strong-Tie hardware to make this deck code compliant to pass inspection.
