Skarby z Łowicza

Reliquary crosses, signet rings for sealing correspondence, a cross-amulet protecting against the plague, intricately decorated pins for attaching the pallium, and above all, the unique ring of the Archbishop of Gniezno and Primate of Poland, Wacław Leszczyński, bearing the Wieniawa coat of arms – these are extraordinary artifacts discovered during archaeological excavations in the crypt of the collegiate church in Łowicz. They are described by the exhibition curators, Dariusz Nowacki, curator of the Goldsmithing Department, and Dr. Monika Kamińska, head of the Archaeology Department.
