R44 Staten Island Railway Express Train Action (2025)

2025 was the first year where I endured the frustrating 15-30 minute gaps on the Staten Island Railway right before and at the start of the PM rush hour. With the R211S replacing the R44s, I began frequenting the railway more often to see enough R44s making express runs. Due to the R44s age express trains were restricted to a maximum of 45mph (previously 60mph), however they still hauled pretty well. Enjoy this compilation of zooming R44s! Shot on iPhone 16 Pro
