Getting Started with LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor - Everything You Must Know
The LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor does not come with any helpful documentation that teaches you how to get up and running with the platform; the included Quick-Start Guide is more concerned about protecting the environment than teaching you how to use this fourth-generation of LEGO MINDSTORMS. As I noted in my review video last week, Robot Inventor is a brilliant robotics platform that brings many impressive new features to the table, but my biggest frustration is the lack of documentation to teach you how to get started with the robot. Today, I seek to close that gap by providing a comprehensive getting-started guide that teaches everything you need to know about using the Robot Inventor for the first time: turning the Intelligent Hub on and off, charging the Intelligent Hub, connecting to a smart device, troubleshooting connections, navigating the new MINDSTORMS app, updating the Intelligent Hub operating system, updating the motors, running the demo to verify that all motors and sensors work, traversing the module-style tutorials, and building your first robot.
