My social media connects - Instagram -   / inspiredcorner_audiostories   Facebook -   / sassyshwet   ABOUT MUNSHI JI Dhanpat Rai Srivastava (31 July 1880 – 8 October 1936), known as Premchand, was one of the most popular Hindi and Urdu novelists, short story writers, and thinkers. He wrote nearly a dozen novels, including Sevasadan, Premashram, Rangbhoomi, Nirmala, Gaban, Karmabhoomi, and Godaan, and over three hundred stories, including Kafan, Poos ki Raat, Panch Parmeshwar, Bade Ghar Ki Beti, Budhi Kaki, and Do Bailon Ki Katha. Most of these were published in both Hindi and Urdu. He wrote for all the major Urdu and Hindi magazines of his time, including Zamana, Saraswati, Madhuri, Maryada, Chand, and Sudha. He also edited and published the Hindi newspaper Jagran and the literary magazine Hans. To do this, he purchased Saraswati Press, which later ran into losses and had to be closed. Premchand came to Mumbai to write film scripts and stayed there for about three years. He remained engaged in literary creation until the end of his life. "Mahajani Civilization" is considered his last essay, "The Objective of Literature" his last lecture, "Kafan" his last story, "Godaan" his last completed novel, and "Mangalsutra" his last unfinished novel.
