Walking the SAME Harbor Michael’s Family Left Behind 🇮🇪

#travel #ireland #dailyvloggers #travelvloggers #titanic Today’s Ireland daily travel vlog was packed with history, coastal scenery, Titanic stories, medieval ruins, and a huge change of scenery as we officially left West Cork and made our way toward our new home base in Castlemaine for the next week of adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way. We started the day leaving our little cottage in Leap and driving east to the beautiful harbor town of Cobh — one of the most historically important towns in Ireland. Once there, we split up for separate adventures around town. Julie explored the incredible Titanic Experience Cobh located inside the original White Star Line ticket office where passengers boarded tenders to the RMS Titanic in 1912 before its final Atlantic voyage. The museum focuses on the personal stories of Titanic passengers who departed from what was then called Queenstown, Ireland’s last port of call before the disaster. Meanwhile, Michael explored the colorful “Deck of Cards” houses climbing the steep hills above Cork Harbour, visited the towering St Colman’s Cathedral, checked out historical markers around town, and visited memorials connected to both Annie Moore — believed to be the first immigrant processed at Ellis Island — and the victims of the RMS Lusitania disaster, which occurred off the Cork coast during World War I. After leaving Cobh, we drove inland to explore the haunting medieval ruins of Kilcrea Friary and nearby Kilcrea Castle, two remarkable fifteenth-century sites tied to the powerful MacCarthy dynasty during the final centuries of Gaelic Ireland. Wandering through the friary ruins and towering stone castle honestly felt like stepping directly into medieval Irish history. We finished the day driving into the mountains and countryside of County Kerry to settle into our new home in Castlemaine for the next chapter of this unforgettable month living and traveling around Ireland with our dog Abra. From Titanic history and Irish immigration stories to medieval castles, ancient ruins, colorful harbor towns, and the rugged Irish countryside, today felt like a perfect snapshot of everything that makes Ireland so incredible to explore. #Ireland #Cobh #Titanic #TitanicMuseum #TitanicExperienceCobh #CountyCork #CountyKerry #Castlemaine #WildAtlanticWay #IrishHistory #TravelVlog #DailyVlog #IrelandTravel #StColmansCathedral #Lusitania #AnnieMoore #KilcreaFriary #KilcreaCastle #MedievalIreland #GaelicIreland #HistoricIreland #IrishCastle #ExploreIreland #TravelCouple #DigitalNomad #TravelWithDogs #ScenicIreland #IrishRoadTrip #Ireland2026
