"New Cars You Want to Wait for Until the Price Rocks Down," a series in the monthly New Model Magazine X, features test drive impressions and a buying guide by used car dealer Ryuichi Harakawa. Based on the condition of a new car, the magazine predicts future interior and exterior wear, as well as problems and aging with the powertrain (engine and transmission). It also predicts whether buying a new car is a better deal than buying it used in three or five years, and what the resale price would be if you were to sell it at that point. The April 2026 issue (on sale February 26th) features the Honda Prelude. This video highlights some of the anecdotes and extraneous information that emerged during our conversation with Harakawa during the interview (Harakawa was not driving during filming due to interior noise measurements).
