ACTION MAN ACTION SOLDIER 1966

In 1965 the Palitoy Toy Company acquired the the rights to manufacture GI JOE Action Figures in UK. Palitoy then tooled up to manufacture and sourcing of components from far-east factories. A new name was deemed essential as GI JOE was not considered suitable for UK market. Following deliberations the name ACTION MAN was agreed and he hit the UK toy market in 1966. The first ACTION MAN was essentially copy of GI JOE was some minor detail differences: THE ACTION SOLDIER - CAT NO: 9350000 THE ACTION PILOT - CAT NO: 93831110 THE ACTION SAILOR - CAT NO: 94132220 Uniform and Equipment sets were sold seperately.
