Robert Starer: Complete Oral History
Composer Robert Starer maintained a distinguished career that included collaborating with Itzak Perlman, Martha Graham, and Janos Starker; teaching at Juilliard and Brooklyn College; and being elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In this oral history, Starer discusses leaving Vienna at age fourteen, finding refuge and musical identity in Jerusalem, and establishing a career in New York. Interview by Neil Levin.
