I was originally thinking of making it in 1/32 scale, but since Hasegawa's 1/32 scale is the Hayabusa Model 2, I decided to go with 1/48 scale for consistency. I was unable to find any materials on the actual aircraft, but I was trying to recreate the aircraft that was flown until the Hayabusa's flight time limit was reached, so I added my model-making imagination to the build.
