23mm f1.4 vs f2.8 for Travel — Is It More Than Just 2 Stop?

I always thought that I would need to choose between portability (23MM F2.8 R WR) and image quality (23MM F1.4 LM R WR). I guess I am wrong, my study shows that both has superior image quality even at faster aperture. The only difference? The Linear Motor that in newer lens line up.
