Syntropic Agroforestry Internship Course
What does it take to grow the next generation of regenerative land stewards? In a world overflowing with information but desperately short of practical skills, we set out to train six local students in the hands-on knowledge needed to build resilient landscapes and food systems. Thanks to the generous support of the NRC Climate Resiliency Fund, this nine-month internship immersed participants in practical syntropic and regenerative land management. Over 10 weekends, students gained hands-on experience in tool maintenance, tree climbing, sawmilling, food forest installation, landscape reading, soil cultivation, holistic animal care, pruning, grafting, propagation, nutrition, food gathering, processing, and fermentation. Working across diverse microclimates, they developed the confidence to assess landscapes and apply these skills in the real world. This programme was about training future practitioners and educators who can bring regenerative knowledge back into their communities and help strengthen climate resilience. Each participant also received access to our online learning resources, including SAPP (www.sapp.earth) and the PermaDynamics learning platform. To learn more, get involved, or join a future programme, visit: www.permadynamics.co.nz and get in touch. If this work resonates with you, please like, subscribe, share this video, and leave a comment. Every interaction helps us reach more people and grow the regenerative movement. With gratitude, The PermaDynamics Family Team 🌿
