The Glūda-Liepāja railway line was the first to be completed in 1929 by independent Latvia. A passenger train still runs here, but it no longer stops at all the stations. In today’s programme, we will stop at three of the six typical buildings - in Kalvene, Ilmāja and Bērzupe. It should be noted that these station buildings, designed by Jānis Šarlovs, are just like manors - spacious and magnificent.
