Serra del Cadi - Pic de Costa Cabirolera & Vulturò

Hiking trails with stunning views, to the top oof The CadÍ-Moixeró Natural Reserve, an essential place for nature lovers and can be contemplated from anywhere in the region. Its peaks range metres up to the El Vulturó 2,648, where was my final destination of this adventure. I made it to sunrise at the top of Pic de Costa Cabirolera with stunning mist, light and views all around, and after take the trail on the ridge, hiking to Vulturò Peak and back to the parking and home, all around with good memories. With a surface area of over 41,000 hectares distributed between Berguedà, Alt Urgell and La Cerdanya, it includes the mountains ranges of El Cadí and Moixeró, the Pedraforca massif and a large part of the Peak of Alp and Puigllançada, and creates a mountainous barrier thirty kilometres long. This geography offers a variety of landscapes, such as those of foothill, alpine and sub-alpine areas, as well as rocky environments with their characteristic rich vegetation and fauna. Given its east-west orientation, significant climatic differences are caused between each side, particularly with regard to the amount of rains. Similarly, small masses of water, such as torrents and some springs can be found, due to the calcareous structure.
